A plate compactor is a self-propelled or walk-behind vibrating machine that compacts loose materials like soil, sand, and gravel into dense, stable layers for construction work.
Powered by an internal engine or motor, a plate compactor uses rapid, controlled vibrations to compress materials beneath its metal plate base. The machine moves forward across a surface, striking and settling particles into a tighter formation with each pass.
